National Instruments USB Extension Cable

As its name confirms, the USB Extension Cable is deployed in systems where extended length USB connectivity is desired. This cable comes equipped with a 4-Pin, Female USB 2.0 Type A with Retention Back End Connection and a 4-Pin, Male USB 2.0 Type A Jackscrew Front End Connection. For firm fastening, the male connector has a jackscrew that connects to the device. The USB Extension Cable is designed for NI CompactRIO systems. The female connector of the USB Extension Cable can be coupled with a male USB 2.0 connector. The availability of a jackscrew makes this cable suitable for high vibration applications.

You can acquire this cable in either 0.5 meters (Part Number: 152166-0R5) or 2 meters (Part Number: 152166-02). Both variants of the USB Extension Cable are similar in construction and have an identical connector configuration. The NI USB Extension Cable can also be used with selected devices from the CompactDAQ controller’s family. The female connector of this cable has a retention provision as well.
